Messages
Built-in messaging lets users send direct messages to individuals or groups.
- Teachers can message students and parents
- Admins can broadcast to entire schools
- Students can message teachers
- Parents can message teachers and admins
Messages support attachments and are organized in conversation threads.
Announcements
Announcements target specific audiences and appear on recipient dashboards.
Audience scoping:
- General — visible to the entire school
- Grade — visible to a specific grade level
- Class — visible to a specific class
Who can create: Teachers and Admins
How it works:
- Click "Create announcement" from the sidebar
- Write the title and content
- Choose the target audience
- Publish
Students and parents see announcements on their dashboard immediately after publication. Announcements can be pinned and scheduled for future publication.
Notifications
The notification bell (top navbar) shows real-time alerts for:
